 Inviting all High-schoolers (Year 7 - 12) to come every FRIDAY at 5.30 P.M. at THE ROCKS campus for a time of fun and fellowship! With the introduction of Ps. Mike in April 2008 and after much evaluation of the current status of the youth ministry of THE ROCKS, we have made a much needed changes we believe will make this ministry to flourish and grow. - Target market – instead of 13 – 25 year old we narrowed it to 12 – 18. This allowed us to work with current human resources effectively and efficiently. And concluded that it will be a high school ministry which will benefit us in reaching the High schools within our surrounding community.
- Vision – we knew this had to be in line with the church’s vision which was to be refined and confirmed.
- Mission – we always relayed the mission to the Rocks mission Reach, Offer, care, Know and Serve. It was a guideline to structure the departments within the ministry.
- Values – FUN! FRIENDLY! FASSIONATE!!
- Planning – term planning is essential and also yearly event planning. Structure in different ministries and their roles to be defined.
The IGNITE launch took place in early June 2008 and it was a huge success with a turn out of approximate 80 attendees! Praise the Lord. The future of this ministry is growing stronger than ever before!
