Hi team...

Can you believe it? The new monthis just few days away. Time flies hey! I was just being reminded of Psalmist's verse that says "Teach us to make the most of our time, so that we may grow in wisdom." (Psa. 90:12 NLT). My prayer is that we will make the most of our time to pursue God and to know him more. Let us serve him like we never serve him before, as I quote Paul's letter to the Romans "Don’t burn out; keep yourselves fueled and aflame."

Firstly, WE want to WELCOME new members of our WaCA team (both International and Indonesian team) who will start serving in worship team this March :

Samuel Rumende (drums - Indo&Int service), and Maria Laupase (backing vocals - Indo service). WELCOME! we're so glad to have you and looking forward to serve God together with you

Sermon Series

This Month we will have a new sermon series titled "Fields of Gold", where we will discuss about financial matter, how to be a God's good money manager. To be able to use resources that has been trusted by God to us for His Kingdom.

Here's a list of special events in the month of March 09 at THEROCKS:

1. Young Adults Ministry (18 years old above) event :: "Indescribable"

Saturday, 7th March 2009, 5PM at church.

This will be the initial young adults (college/uni) meeting. So WaCA people, if you fall under that category: 18 above, students, young professionals, or you just simply "young and restless", join this event. Invite any uni/college students you know to come to "Indescribable"

Worship team will be allocated to serve in this event. (details TBA)

2. Food Festival (Part of 'I Am Someone's Miracle)

Saturday, 14th March 2009, 10 AM -3 PM,@ 31 Manning Rd, Cannington

As part as our annual campaign "I am Someone's miracle" (where the church is being a real blessing and influence to community), we will have food festival, Entry ticket is $10 (incl $5 food voucher). All the ticket fee proceeds will go towards VICTORIA Bush Fire Appeal.

THEROCKS band will need to prepare few song items for performances during Food Festival.

3. 3 Nights Seminar with Ps John Ollis

Wednesday (18th Mar 09) - Friday (20th Mar 2009), 6.30PM @ Church

This seminar will be open for public, all THEROCKS congregation are welcome.

Ps John Ollis lives in Sydney with his wife Marg. His calling in life is to teach, mentor and equip the church, especially young church leaders all around the world. He's part of teaching staff in Hillsong College (sydney) and City Harvest Bible College (Singapore and All around Asia), He was one of my senior lecturer while I was studiying in hillsong College. He plays an important role in my life personally as my mentor and spiritual father.

4. Leadership Training (with ps John Ollis)

Saturday, 21st March 2009, 11AM @ Church

All SERVANT LEADERS (that's YOU) are required to attend. Please mark your calendar immediately

5. New Song Nights (March)

As usual, International NSN will be held on the second thursday of the month (which is the 12th March 2009);

and Indonesian NSN will be held on the third Wednesday of the month (which is 20th March 2009). Once again, please mark your diary, your calendar, your mobile phone calendar, etc. =)

6. Leadership LIVE

Fifth Thursday of the month (26th March 2009), 6.30 PM - Dinner Provided

There you go... the month of March will be an exciting month for us. Expect great and fresh things from God this month. If you embrace everything with a heart full of expectation of good things from God, for sure you will be tremendously blessed.

Prayer Points:

1. Please keep our friends who are sick in your prayers: Adel and Ivan they are taking few days off work in Feb. Pray for quick recovery and complete healing for them. Get well soon, Ivan and Adel. Also keep praying for Paul Scaresbrook for complete recovery post Heart surgery in Jan 09.

2. Pray for our leaders and pastors.

3. Pray for the unity of THE ROCKS servant leaders, especially WaCA team. Since we are serving in platform ministry, we are number one target of the enemy, especially in the area of unity, pride, relationship and attitude. Pray that everyone in ministry will be strong, humble, and maintain daily fellowship with God.

4. Pray for our friends who are looking for jobs. So they will stay full of faith and full of hope of God's providence. God's help will come in His perfect time. Never too soon and never too late.
